Keep the wheels Spinning

As we are rapidly approaching the end of another year, our attentions will turn to setting ourselves goals for 2020. Every year, millions of people make New Year’s resolutions, hoping to spark positive change. The most popular themes include a more active approach to health and fitness, improved finances, and learning new things for personal and professional development. Losing weight, giving up smoking, learning a new hobby, travelling more are just some of the top choices and all very worthwhile but with more and more people recognising the importance of improving our minds, body and spirit as a whole, understanding, balancing and maintaining your chakras may be an important one to add.

If you are new to the world of chakras, then lets first look at what they are. There are 7 main chakras running from the base of the tail bone to the crown of the head. Each energy centre is associated with different emotional and physical states. The word chakra is an old Sanskrit word that literally means "wheel" and our chakra's are wheels of energy/light within our body that take in, incorporate and emanate energy to keep us functioning at our optimal level.

In order for our body to function at its very best, emotionally, physically and spiritually, all of our 7  chakras need to be balanced and allowing our energy to flow freely and smoothly through our bodies. If one of the energy centres is not functioning well, then the others won't function as well as they should.

Consider your body like a car, as well as an annual Mot and service, in order to keep your car running at its optimum level, you also need to carry out regular maintenance and upkeep. We fill it with fuel, keep a check on its tyres and oil levels and give it a good clean. Our bodies are no different and as well as a full service, they too require constant upkeep, a balanced diet, regular exercise and taking care of our physical, emotional and spiritual needs on a daily basis.

A balanced chakra flows smoothly and evenly, however our chakras can be overactive, under active or even blocked. If the chakras are not balanced there cannot be balance within us, emotionally, physically, or spiritually and can manifest themselves in both physical and emotional symptoms. The table below shows some of the effects of imbalance in each of the chakras.

So what can you do? Chakra balancing is the process of restoring a harmonious flow of energy across the Chakra system. It works on the premise of using the five senses; smell - using aromatherapy, sight - using colour, taste - the food that we eat, hearing - the use of sound and touch - the use of energy. In addition the use of coaching, hypnosis or Past Life Regression can be used to address and heal past traumas that may be causing blockages with the Chakras. A full body Chakra Balance Treatment is a great way to kick start your Chakra maintenance regime or as a bi annual service, however there are lots of ways that you can introduce practices on a regular basis yourself that will keep those wheels spinning well, check out our Chakra 101 section on our website for more information.

If you would like to understand how your Chakras are currently operating, then why not book our 45minute Chakra reading session, the perfect way to get started. Using a pendulum, we will first dowse each of the chakras to gain insight into how the energy is flowing. From there we will identify which Chakras are showing signs of imbalance, discuss possible causes and provide you with practical ways in which you can treat the imbalances and get your Chakras in tip top condition.
