Are you living in Alignment?



Are you saying one thing but doing or thinking the exact opposite? Don't worry, most people are probably saying yes. It’s common and definitely don’t beat yourself up. But lets' be honest, this one simple fact is the way we manage to successfully sabotage ourselves on a regular basis. Whether you are trying to manifest something into your life, achieve a goal or simply make positive change, if our words, thoughts and actions are not aligned then to be honest we really are on a slippery slope.



Lets start with the basics. Everything is energy and that includes our thoughts, our words and our actions. This energy is what we send out to the Universe. It's how we communicate what we want to attract into our life, how we want to be treated, our hopes, our dreams and our desires. It stands to reason then that if those messages are conflicting, if we are doing, thinking and saying different things, its unlikely that we are going to receive what we actually want.



Ways we don't align our thoughts, words and actions. Be honest how many of these do you do on a regular basis?


  1. When we say "yes" to things we don't want to do.

  2. When we say "no" to things we do want to do.

  3. When we have an idea but take no action.

  4. When we use "negative self talk"

  5. When we don't trust our intuition.

  6. When we say things we don't mean.

  7. When we don't say what we are really feeling/thinking.

  8. When we follow the crowd instead of our heart.

  9. When we allow ourselves to be held back by limiting beliefs.

  10. When we put our needs at the back of the queue.


So how can we make sure that we are in alignment? For me it all starts with knowing your core values, these are

our true essence, what makes us who we are (if you have no idea about these, watch out for a future blog all about core values). When we base our thoughts, words and actions on our core values, we are acting from a place of authenticity.

We need to listen and more importantly trust in our intuition, this will always direct us to act for our highest good. Moreover we need to have self belief, if we are being governed by limiting beliefs, allowing ourselves to disregard our abilities or base what we perceive to be available to us on the perceptions of others then we are placing barriers in our path.

Our words are equally important. How many times have you wanted to achieve something, yet used words like " I can't", "It won't" " I haven't", "BUT". We need to be supportive, we need to talk positively.

Finally our actions, well firstly we need to take some! That old saying "nothing comes to those who wait" is so true. If we want something, we have to go out there and make it happen. We need to focus our actions on supporting our goals.

The bottom line is aligning our thoughts, words and actions is one of the most powerful tools we have. Channelling that energy in the right direction will and does produce results.

So whatever it is you are wanting to achieve, remember.........
